(WIW) program on behalf of International Academic Programs, a unitof the International Division. The Program Manager leads the D.C.-basedProgram staff with strategic planning support and on-site programmanagement and facilitation of an academic program in the fall, spring,and summer terms. This position attends to the personal and professionaldevelopment of students participating in the WIW Program as well asmanages key aspects of day-to-day program administration. In addition toproviding administrative support, the Program Manager facilitatesinternship placements in Washington D.C. for UW-Madison undergraduatestudents from a wide array of academic disciplines/interest with varioushosts including U.S. Congress, the White House, executive departmentsand agencies, public policy advocacy and lobbying firms, think tanks,non-profits, law firms and legal institutions, print and broadcast mediaoutlets, marketing and public relations firms, historical sites, andpolitical organizations, among many other possibilities. The ProgramManager will be involved in growing and maintaining relationships withUW-Madison, intern host organizations, Washington D.C. alumni, guestspeakers and mentors. The Program Manager will promote alumni andstakeholder engagement in program planning, professional developmentactivities and program growth. Oversees the daily management ofprograms, services, activities, facilities, policies and/or processes inorder to support student success in various areas of student affairs.Works under broad, administrative direction with significantresponsibility for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
