Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

We are currently hiring for teammates in our MaintenanceDepartment, located in Madison, Wisconsin. JOB SUMMARY The successfulcandidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, andrepairing all types of flexographic printing manufacturing equipment, aswell as completing preventive maintenance. Qualified candidates need tobe able to work independently, have thorough knowledge of basic shopskills, read blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers'installation manuals to complete assigned projects. DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/ormechanical troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing or plantequipment Basic shop skills that include welding/metal fabricationEnsure the work area is clean, following good housekeeping practicesAdhere to standard safety practices, including wearing personalprotective equipment as required Read blueprints, understand plumbing,hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Follow plant preventativemaintenance procedures Follow and participate in plantsafety/housekeeping guidelines Attend and participate in maintenancedepartment, plant and safety meetings Assist in capital improvementprojects Make repairs in a timely manner, while working under pressureAssist other departments with improvement projects Capable of data entryand some analysis of Maintenance Management System Complete requiredforms legibly Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 yearswork related experience in Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical andelectrical fields Experience with basic electrical systems (starters,fuses, contacts, relays.) Experience with product manuals (reading andapplying knowledge to make repairs.) Experience with schematics(electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, and relays.)Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns Experience withreading mechanical drawings The ability to communicate issues while alsoconveying the solutions as well Be willing to extend your scheduledshifts in order to receive onsite or offsite training Strong technicalknowledge of manufacturing environment LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to readand interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports andlegibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze,and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technicaldrawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, andelectrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one andsmall groups situations to other employees of the organization. Abilityto effective present information and respond to questions form groups ofmanagers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICALSKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability tocompute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basicalgebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions topractical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practicalproblems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where onlylimited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drawvalid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety oftechnical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
