Insurance Defense Attorney

Description Our client is looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team in Sacramento or Fresno. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, including pre-litigation and active litigation matters, while providing strategic legal counsel to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage a comprehensive caseload of pre-litigation and active litigation files, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases. u2022 Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and trial preparation materials. u2022 Collaborate with colleagues to prepare for depositions, negotiations, and client meetings, offering strategic insights and advice. u2022 Conduct thorough legal research to evaluate claims and provide clients with informed guidance on their legal positions. u2022 Negotiate with opposing counsel and other parties to resolve disputes and achieve favorable outcomes for clients. u2022 Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to update them on case progress and strategic decisions. u2022 Mentor and provide strategic guidance to attorneys at the beginning of their careers, fostering their growth and development. u2022 Stay informed about changes in legal procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and effective representation. Requirements u2022 Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. u2022 Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California. u2022 At least 6 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for insurance defense experience. u2022 Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and CoCounsel. u2022 Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and case strategy. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. u2022 In-depth understanding of legal procedures and their practical applications. u2022 Trial experience is a plus but not required.
