Description We are looking for an experienced Controller in Halfmoon, New York. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a diverse accounting team and contribute to the financial success of multiple business ventures. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining processes, enhancing strategies, and ensuring the growth and efficiency of the accounting department. Responsibilities: u2022 Supervise and provide leadership to a team of seven accounting professionals, including roles such as Senior Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Junior Accountant. u2022 Oversee financial operations across multiple businesses. u2022 Develop and implement efficient accounting processes to support the organization's growth and ensure compliance. u2022 Collaborate closely with leadership to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. u2022 Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely processing. u2022 Prepare and analyze budgets, financial reports, and forecasts to support decision-making. u2022 Coordinate with external partners for annual audits and financial reviews. u2022 Support ongoing development projects by providing financial oversight and maintaining cost controls. u2022 Ensure adherence to financial regulations and best practices across all business units. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in a Controller or similar leadership role within accounting. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including AP, AR, auditing, and budgeting. u2022 Ability to manage and develop teams with varying levels of experience. u2022 Excellent analytical and organizational skills to handle complex financial operations. u2022 Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
