Tech Line Specialist

Description Job Title: Line Support Technician Location: Russell Point, OH Onsite Work Type: Contract 25 weeks Position Overview We are seeking a Line Support Technician to join our onsite team in Russell Point, OH. This role is critical to maintaining the stability and performance of Tier I Production Critical Line Applications and equipment. The ideal candidate will follow documented processes to restore normal operations or escalate issues to the appropriate support teams when necessary. eKey Responsibilities + Provide plant floor client and end-user desktop application and network support for all Tier I computer systems. + Collaborate with plant floor users to understand production line processes and customer needs. + Support technology upgrades and implementations of Tier I computer systems. + Monitor and respond to alerts from various monitoring systems related to Tier I computer systems. + Communicate effectively with IT management for updates, direction, and escalation. + Assist with policy enforcement and execution of established IT processes and procedures. + Engage with external suppliers to stay informed on evolving technologies and their potential application. Requirements Qualifications Education & Experience: + Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent experience. + Proven experience supporting computer applications and end-user computing devices. + Familiarity with Windows 7/10, Active Directory, and LAN/Networking. + Proficiency in MS Office and problem ticketing systems. + Experience with AIX/UNIX environments. + Demonstrated ability to manage Level 1 and Level 2 support calls. + Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for printers, scan guns, desktop PCs/laptops, and handheld devices. Preferred Skills: + General functional knowledge of GALC/ALC systems and related business processes. + Ability to follow and document processes accurately. + Adaptability in a dynamic environment. + Solid understanding of IT processes and development methodologies. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Effective time management and prioritization. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
