Job Description: Human Resources Administrator Southern Air, Inc., an industry leading company headquartered in Lynchburg, Virginia with multi-state operations is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Human Resources Administrator. This key position reports to the Director of Finance and has strong growth and advancement potential, offering opportunities for professional development and increased responsibility over time. This position plays a vital role in supporting both individual employees and the organization's broader objectives by ensuring efficient and accurate payroll and benefits administration. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of experience in managing benefit plan administration and payroll processing. The role requires basic accounting knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, problem solving skills, confidentiality, attention to detail, a track record of meeting deadlines, the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and a desire to help others. Duties include but are not limited to: Primary responsibility for the administrative duties associated with Company benefit plans including: Maintenance of records Remittance of benefit contributions Compiling census data Distributing required documents to employees Processing open enrollments Assisting with employee benefit questions and issues Interacting with benefit vendors Creating and updating employee benefit summaries Assisting Director of Finance with annual benefit plan audits Primary oversight and management of the company Human Resources Information System (HRIS) including EDI data exports to benefit vendors, configuring and uploading data imports, creating new data exports as needed. Filing of required reports and surveys (CMS, SAR, ACA 1095s, Vets 4212, 5500 inputs, EEOC filings) Processing salary payroll biweekly Reviewing hourly payroll weekly Tracking all payroll system updates Filing and paying company payroll taxes Processing quarterly and year end payroll tax reports and W-2s Completing new hire onboarding for salaried new hires Reviewing and updating new hire onboarding packages and handbooks The company offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' well-being and professional growth.
