Per Diem Pharmacist Immunizer - Albany Area

Salary: $55.00- $72.00/ Hour SUMMARY The Pharmacist Immunizer under the direction of a Regional Pharmacy Manager and in collaboration with the Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for supporting vaccination and medication therapy management (MTM) efforts within their assigned territory. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES u00b7 Completing the entire patient immunization process with steps including but not limited to: u00b7 Identifying adults in need of vaccination according to state laws, FDA, CDC, and ACIP recommendations u00b7 Screening patients for contraindications and precautions u00b7 Billing immunizations u00b7 Verifying previous vaccination history and completing IIS documentation u00b7 Informing each patient/guardian of potential side effects and adverse reactions, orally and in writing u00b7 Administering the vaccine according to the guidelines in the vaccine package insert u00b7 Completing all required immunization documentation including immunization consent form sign off and necessary CDC and state reporting u00b7 Be prepared for management of a medical emergency related to the administration of the vaccines u00b7 Completing VAERS reports for immunization adverse reactions u00b7 Independently preparing for, providing and leading community vaccination clinics MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS u00b7 Must be 21 years of age u00b7 Registered Pharmacist in good standing within their state of practice with immunizer certification u00b7 CPR certification with AED training for adults and pediatrics u00b7 Flexibility and ability to travel to multiple locations u00b7 Proficiency in administration of vaccines and appropriate record keeping u00b7 Minimum availability 8-12 hours per week including occasional nights and weekends EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE EQUIPMENT USED Operation of the following: Pharmacy Computer Pharmacy Phone Our Company does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, affection or sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, liability for military service, status as a veteran, gender identity or expression, genetic information, pregnancy, and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
