Location: Monroe, Michigan Hours: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am Days: Monday - Friday Full-Time/Benefit Eligible Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Histotechnician to join our dynamic team in a cutting-edge laboratory setting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to prepare and analyze tissue samples and support the delivery of accurate diagnoses to patients. If you are passionate about the field of histotechnology and seeking a challenging and rewarding career, we want to hear from you Histotechnician Responsibilities & Duties Prepare and stain tissue samples using techniques such as H&E, immunohistochemistry, and special staining Analyze tissue samples using microscopy and other diagnostic tools Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate and complete records of tissue preparation, analysis, and results Histotechnician Qualifications & Skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or related field Minimum of 24 credit hours of biology and chemistry, with at least six being in chemistry Experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting Proficiency in advanced staining techniques such as immunohistochemistry Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Prefer 2 years of experience in histotechnology laboratory setting Strong understanding of histotechnology techniques, procedures, and regulations Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: 3rd Shift (United States of America) Job Category: Laboratory Operations Company: Pinkus Dermatopathology Lab PC Sonic Healthcare USA is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace for all employees.
