SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Senior Manager of Total Rewards is responsible for developing and administering competitive compensation, incentive programs, deferred compensation, non-qualified deferred compensation, payroll, taxes, benefits, and wellness initiatives. This position will plan, develop and implement compensation programs, policies, and procedures to align with the organization’s core values and establishes competitive practices to ensure a positive impact on the long and short-term performance of the organization. Assure, thorough audits, reports and interpersonal contact, company programs and processes are consistently administered in compliance with policies, professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws. Manage the Total Rewards Team by coaching members to meet the expectations of the organization through exceptional customer service.Other duties may be assigned.Provide strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration and communication of Total Rewards programs including retirement, base pay, variable pay, incentives, benefits and other rewards based on corporate objectivesPartner with corporate leadership to leverage compensation programs to meet organizational objectivesAnalyze current rewards programs to ensure alignment with the business strategy and designs rewards programs that optimize the ability to attract top talentOversee the design and administration of compensation programs including base pay, variable pay, merit, compensation planning, and market analysis with a focus on continuous improvementDevelop and implement salary structure and guidelines in accordance with compensation policyManage the administration of all compensation activities including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actionsManage payroll administration process along with other off schedule payrolls, such as merit, incentives and bonusesRecommend changes for efficiency and automation of processes related to Total RewardsMonitor the effectiveness of existing total compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revisions as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectivesAdvise executives and managers on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programsRecommend special compensation programs or incentive systems for all employees or for specific groups to support the organization's objectivesOversee the company’s retirement programs including 401(k) and non-qualified deferral plansSupport projects such HR integration for mergers and acquisitionsManage government compliance reports and confirm required filings are submitted in a timely mannerBuild and maintain a strong functional team through effective training, coaching, team building and succession planningProvides management and training of direct reports: Payroll Manager, Compensation Analyst, Benefits Manager, Benefits Specialist, and Total Wellness NursesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.JOB REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources or equivalent work experienceCertified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)10+years’ experience with 3+ years in compensation administration and/or compensation management and 3+ years in benefits administration and managementStrong technical, managerial and team building skills with the ability to balance tactical and strategic responsibilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present effectively to all levels of the organization and maintain vendor relationshipsProven ability to build relationships and effectively influence peers and business managers within the organizationAbility to act with integrity in resolving issues and dealing with confidential mattersExcellent analytical and financial acumenWell-defined computer skills including payroll systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong knowledge of payroll, compensation and benefit related laws, processes, and best practicesPayScale, Benefits Admin (formerly Benefits Prime), and UKG knowledge highly preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Travel to facilities may be requiredFlexible schedule required to accommodate employee shifts including nights and weekendsWORK ENVIRONMENTOur office is designed to bring people together.
