This position is responsible for the fabrication and/or installation of custom products made from sheet metal and roofing materials, along with the manufacturing of necessary components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of materials and tools and will play a key role in both shop and on-site fabrication.Key ResponsibilitiesSelect materials according to blueprints and specificationsMeasure and mark materials accuratelyDrill, cut, bend, and fasten materials using hand and power toolsInstall fabricated components with supportive frameworksFabricate or adjust parts on-site as neededManeuver, anchor, and secure large material componentsTrack material inventory and equipment locationTest and install materials in the fieldWeld, bolt, rivet, or solder components as neededMay perform limited programming for automated equipmentPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of sheet metal and roofing materials, including:Asphalt shingles, tiles, solar shingles, metal shingles, slate, bitumen, membrane systems, vegetative roofs, etc.Ability to operate automated machineryProficiency in interpreting technical blueprints and specificationsStrong math skills including basic algebra and geometryExcellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detailAbility to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a teamEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredSeveral years of relevant work experience preferredRoofing experience is a strong plusPhysical RequirementsAble to move around work sites and work at heightsPhysically capable of frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and liftingComfortable working in varied weather conditionsAble to lift up to 50 lbsTolerance for noisy and dusty environmentsUSD $32.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
