Johanna Foods is also a leading private label and co-pack juice and yogurt producer, manufacturing products for numerous leading retailers and brands.Job Summary:Part of a team of Garage Mechanics that perform preventative maintenance, repairs and inspections on a fleet of trailers, yard tractors, and over-the-road tractors. Responsible for maintaining repair records and parts inventory in Garage, and for documenting parts required. Ability to perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment, fluid changes.Ability to drive a yard jockey tractor to move trailers between yard and garage.Ability to diagnose and repair ThermoKing refrigeration units on trailers.Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues on transport equipment.Knowledge and skillset required to complete DOT inspections on trailers.Schedule:Mon - Fri 2:00 PM - 10:00 PMTechnical training and certifications in areas of mechanical, refrigeration, electrical and weldingWelding skills documented via certification or evidence of work experienceBasic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronicsIn-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanismsProficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic softwareSufficient base tools to perform dutiesKnowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipmentComfortable using mechanical and electrical power toolsTrack record of workplace safetyStrong verbal and written communication skills required to interact with other Garage Mechanics and managementExcellent problem-solving skillsKeen attention to detailWork experience satisfactory to JFI hiring manager(s)
