Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Mechanical Insulators for projects located in Hampton, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Mechanical Insulator eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope: Use hand tools, power tools, and insulation equipment safely and effectivelyPerform insulation repairs by removing and replacing damaged sectionsMaintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standardsWork independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlinesCommunicate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on the job-siteInstall, repair, and maintain insulation systems on piping, ductwork, tanks and other mechanical equipmentApply insulation using materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, foam and calcium silicateFabricate and install protective jacketing using metal, PVC and canvasRead and interpret blueprints, specifications and work orders4-6 years of experience as a mechanical insulator or in a related tradeAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsKnowledge of:Insulation materials and application techniquesIndustry best practicesFamiliarity with:Mechanical systemsHVACPlumbingProcess pipingTanksStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailPhysical ability to:LiftClimbBendWork in various environmentsCommitment to safety protocols and proceduresTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
