The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Product, Process and Quality Performance functions. The primary accountabilities include setting and delivering a strategy that improves and sustains operational stability in a safe manner along with enhancing productivity through the use of systems and lean tools. The Sr. Technical Manager participates as a member of the plant leadership team reporting directly to the Plant Manager, contributing to the achievement of plant and corporate strategic objectives while meeting the Manufacturing areas internal and external customer requirements.Responsibilities:Ensure EHS performance of the Technical Team and support the site EHS initiativesCustomer quality management and technical interactionsQuality systems implementation and sustainabilityLaboratory testingProcess & quality data managementDevelopment of engineering talentMaterial creation and controlSustainability of process and productData management and process/quality business intelligence applicationsMinimumQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of studyExperience as Leader of technical process, product and development groups and projectsExcellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organizationCreativity and project management skills.Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with customers through follow-up, understanding their needs and fostering a collaborative relationship.Ability to organize and prioritize workload; must be able to manage multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail.Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.Solid computer skills with software applications proficiency, including Microsoft Office. The Recycling mill prepares scrap aluminum that is used in the rolling mill to create rolled aluminum coils to a desired gauge. Anneals temper the aluminum then it is leveled and sized to customer specification.
