Job SummaryEffectively manage technical and financial operations for project design, integration and service of audiovisual systems. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage internal activities including all engineering, CAD, programming, field engineering, shop activities, installation and repair services, on-going engineering project support, and project sign offManage external activities including all out-sourced or sub-contract work in support of project installation activitiesOversee budget for technical services department and make recommendations to General Manager for department needsManage internal activities to support client expectationsMentor Level I, II and III technicians in absence of Installation ManagerMonitor and ensure labor expenditures do not exceed department budgetCoordinate with Installation Manager as needed to secure necessary man power for installation jobsManage internal activities that support client trainingManage or facilitate field testing of integrated systems and training client on useCustomer liaison in absence of Project ManagerCreate and maintain project related documentation in accordance with company guidelines Maintain scheduling and resources for the departmentTravel to various job sites requiredOther duties assigned as neededSkills and Abilities Proven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives with a results oriented approachDemonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organizationUnderstanding of technical aspects of audiovisual systems design and installation preferredAbility to motivate and effectively lead large project teams comprised of technical and administrative personnel toward a common goalUnderstanding of construction project management applied to audiovisual projectsProficient with AV, project management theory and practices or other electro-mechanical installation techniquesProficient with test and calibration equipment preferredAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesMust have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externallyDemonstrated customer service focus and client communication skillsEducation and/or Experience Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferredMinimum 4 years of Management experience in similar or related fieldExperience in the AV industry is preferredInfoComm CTS General certification preferredCapability of managing a 10 million dollar budget is a plusDemonstrated knowledge interpreting and managing (work-in-progress, WIT) reportsAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints preferredExperience operating in a complex matrix business environment is desirableExcellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft applications including Microsoft ProjectValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standardsEWorking Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
