Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is 'On-Site' at the location detailed in the job post.This is a full-time, exempt level position., Job Summary:Plant Superintendent will help coordinate and oversee day to day activities and lead Performance Excellence at the East Plant. , This position is responsible for the safe, successful and progressive day-to-day operational activities, maintain a safe, sanitary workplace in compliance with company policies, government regulation and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNR, FDA, USDA, FRA, HACCP, etc.)., Job Responsibilities:Respond to plant, process, personnel, product, and environmental emergencies.Ensure successful day-to-day operation of the Processing facility, in areas of safety, quality, and production.Work closely with the plant manager and production scheduling manager to carry out plant specific goals and objectives.Provide guidance and production expectations to department volvement with the management of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, food safety, sanitation, quality policies, and procedures.Assist in troubleshooting production problems, optimizing yields, and productivity, and controlling costs.Provide leadership for colleague development as well as establishing and achieving plant goals.Maintain a high degree of availability to a 24/7 operation.Leverage the Performance Excellence process to drive plant performance as a primary responsibility.
