District Overview Kiewit's South Central District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more. Although most of our work is regionally based in the south-central region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the United States. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design. Location Kiewit's South Central District has a home office in Westlake, Texas but leads work all over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Please note that travel is expected approximately 50% of the time, depending on project needs and your specific role. This will allow you to gain diverse experience across a variety of locations and project types, further accelerating your professional growth. Responsibilities Monitor, forecast and communicate environmental costs at the project level. u2022 Identify and obtain applicable permits and manage as required in the Environmental Management System (EMS). u2022 Develop a comprehensive tracking matrix to capture all requirements. u2022 Review and interpret environmental specifications and drawings. u2022 Understand state and local regulations and review requirements. u2022 Prepare site specific plans and submit required reports. u2022 Provide input to work plans and participate in meetings. u2022 Communicate with field crews to ensure understanding of project environmental requirements. u2022 Identify project materials and vendors needed to support the environmental requirements at the project. u2022 Conduct applicable environmental training and field inspections and identify environmental risks. u2022 Organize data management and processes for projects and encourage production operations through development of new or existing programs. u2022 Communicate with internal and external agencies or customers in regards to environmental procedures. u2022 Coordinate, manage and implement project-wide environmental compliance programs and strategies at the project. u2022 Maintain records of all requirements and monitor compliance tools. u2022 Identify applicable environmental requirements at federal, state and local levels for the project which may include: hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, spill plans, etc. Qualifications u2022 4 years degree in an environmental science or engineering field. u2022 Basic knowledge of State(s) and Federal environmental regulations. u2022 Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. u2022 Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. u2022 Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. u2022 Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt. u2022 Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. u2022 Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. u2022 Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail. #LI-JR1 Other Requirements: + Regular, reliable attendance + Work productively and meet deadlines timely + Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. + Perform work safely and effectively.
