Quality Engineer V

(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Engineer V to drive product quality across the entire lifecycle — from new product introduction (NPI) through sustaining production — while ensuring AS9100 compliance, robust quality systems, and continuous improvement.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead quality planning and oversight for new product introduction (NPI) in the electrical and cable manufacturing area, ensuring design readiness, process capability, and compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. Manage and coordinate quality engineering projects from planning through execution, driving schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional alignment. Develop and implement inspection, testing, and quality control methods to improve product performance and reduce defects. Identify and implement design or manufacturing changes to enhance quality, producibility, and cost efficiency. Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality improvement projects to improve yield and reduce nonconformance. Support and approve First Article Inspections (FAIs).
