Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring substitute School Nurses (RN or LPN) in Mexico, NY This role is in person / on site. Please read below and reply with an updated resume for consideration: Type: Substitute School Nurse - RN or LPN Schedule: 7:30a - 3:45p - Monday - Friday only Pay: $28-$31 per hour based on experience and licensure Responsibilities of the School Nurse: u00b7 Assist school physician with physical examinations for sports, work permits, state-mandated grade levels and CSE (Committee on Special Education). u00b7 Verify immunization records and notify parent/guardian when updating needs to be done. Submit yearly immunization survey. u00b7 Maintain an up-to-date cumulative health record on all students. u00b7 Provide yearly hearing, vision and scoliosis screening on students per state requirements and referrals as needed. u00b7 Administer medications per physician order. u00b7 Monitor student health needs and make referrals as indicated to the appropriate sources. u00b7 Administer first aid and emergency care to students and staff members. u00b7 Compile Special Needs List of students maintaining confidentiality through notification of the appropriate faculty. u00b7 Monitor and report contagious diseases for appropriate infection control. u00b7 Monitor attendance (as per building policy). u00b7 Serve on building Instructional Support Team and Problem-Solving Team as needed, maintaining confidentiality for cases. u00b7 Attend faculty meetings and department meetings upon request. u00b7 Initiate student and employee injury reports. u00b7 Maintain health office supplies (ice packs, first aid supplies, equipment). u00b7 Contact parents/guardians as needed to maintain communication for health-related concerns and/or issues.
