Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting a client hire Behavioral Intervention Specialists (BIS) in Valley Cottage, NY This role is in person / onsite. Type: Full time, direct hire Schedule: Monday u2013 Friday, 8:30am to 5pm (flexible) Pay: $60,000 to $62,500 per year Responsibilities of the Behavioral Intervention Specialist: u00b7 Working as the psychology staff serving adults with a wide variety of developmental and intellectual disabilities. u00b7 Responsible for oversight of all psychological and behavioral issues and matters within the residence and/or day program. u00b7 Assist the team in developing the most appropriate plan to meet the program participants' developmental and emotional needs. u00b7 Required to perform functional behavioral analysis as needed, data collection, development of behavior support/monitoring plans and staff guidelines for individuals with behavioral and emotional challenges. u00b7 Act as a liaison between community psychiatrist and residence or program. Perform crisis intervention and be available for emergency calls. u00b7 Responsible to work cooperatively and collaborate with residential and program management and staff. u00b7 Provide in-services and training to staff on psychological topics and interest areas. u00b7 Performs initial, semiannual and annual functional behavioral assessments of individuals and provides written recommendations to corresponding program staff. u00b7 Develops, reviews, and revises written behavior support plans. u00b7 Develops, reviews, and revises written behavior medication monitoring plans. u00b7 Helps to ensure the integration, consistency and appropriateness of plans. u00b7 Trains staff on how to implement the plans. u00b7 Provides training to staff in managing difficult behaviors and assists with crisis intervention. u00b7 Documents individual's progress/regress and ensures completion of all record keeping tasks as per agency/program policies and procedures.
