LPN III: Adult ED, 36 hrs/week, Evenings

Department/Unit: Emergency Department Work Shift: Evening (United States of America) Salary Range: $55,895.80 - $83,843.71 Assist patients in reaching outcomes as established by the RPN in the plan of care.The LPN gathers, and documents data related to physiologic, cognitive, cultural, and spiritual status, assists in goal directed plans of care which are evidence-based and age specific, and implements care through utilization and adherence to established standards which define the structure, process, and desired patient outcomes of the nursing process, and communicates information needing referral to RPN and reinforces teaching plan established by RPN. Responsibilities: + Obtain and accurately record patientu2019s vital signs + Documents components of patientu2019s history + Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff + Participates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider + Performs diagnostic CLIA waived testing + Performs venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing + Prescription call-backs per scope of practice + Preps patientu2019s chart for pertinent clinical information + Maintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked + Adheres to AMCu2019s regulatory compliance issues Education Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing. Must hold current New York State registration or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York and current BLS certification.
