We are looking for a reliable and versatile Traveling Dental Assistant who is also skilled in front office operations to support our multi-location dental practice. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care both chairside and at the front desk.The ideal candidate will travel between various office locations as needed, assisting with clinical procedures and ensuring smooth day-to-day front office operations. Mileage reimbursement is provided for all work-related travel.Clinical Duties:Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresPrepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout the visitSterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness according to OSHA/CDC guidelinesTake digital X-rays and impressions as neededDocument patient charts and update treatment notesEducate patients on post-op care and oral hygiene practicesFront Office Duties:Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out proceduresSchedule and confirm appointments across multiple office locationsAnswer phones and address patient inquiries with professionalismVerify insurance eligibility and assist with claims processingPresent treatment plans and review financial options with patientsMaintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulationsRequirements:Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent trainingValid X-ray certification (state-specific)CPR/BLS certificationValid driver's license and dependable transportationWillingness and ability to travel between office locationsMinimum 1 year of experience in dental assisting and/or front office preferredProficiency with dental practice management software DenticonKey Traits:Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanorExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detailComfortable working independently and collaboratively with different teamsFlexible and adaptable to different office environmentsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly wage based on experienceMileage reimbursement for all work-related travelHealth, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for professional development and continuing educationSupportive team environment with room to growWork Schedule:Monday - FridayTravel to 10 of offices within the Orlando areaOccasional flexibility required based on practice needsClinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.Customer Service; acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissalRespond to patient questions and or concerns according to DCA PoliciesAnswering TelephonesScheduling AppointmentsMaintaining Appointment BookConfirming AppointmentsFollow up on no shows/cancellation of AppointmentsRegister Patients on sign in sheetPost charges and payments to patient accountsChecking voicemail on a daily basisMaintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patientsQualifications:Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant programorSix months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)X-Ray certificationNitrous Oxide certification is highly recommendedHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office, preferredKnowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO), is a plusExperience answering telephoneMust have exceptional customer service skillsLegal Disclaimer:We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
