Under the direction of the Hermitage CookieandWafer Facility Sanitation Supervisor, this positionisresponsible forhousekeeping,cleaning,and sanitation throughout the facilityin accordance withthe Master Sanitation Schedule. Cleaning tasks on the Master Sanitation Schedule are performed at a defined frequency to ensure the facility is well-maintained and food safety standards are upheld to produceandstore a safe, quality product. While cleaning and sanitation of production equipment is primarily conducted by the Production Operators, this position will provide support by helping to coach new and experienced employees in proper cleaningandsanitation practices, as well as performing the post-cleaning inspection of the production equipment.Both classroomandon-the-job training will be provided to support the success of the technician.Thisscopeof this role will require the employee to work duringproductionshutdowns.​​​ This position is for Crew D and will work 6:45pm to 7:00am.Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment via adherence to the Master Sanitation Schedule, completing tasks assigned by management and self-directed observationsResponsible for providing Production Personnel with chemical supplies while following safe handling practices and reinforcing chemical training program expectationsResponsible for post-cleaning inspections of production equipment and corrective action as necessaryResponsible for keeping the chemical room clean and orderlyPerform deep cleaning of floor scrubbers and chemical application equipmentPerform proper cleaning of drains in accordance with established proceduresResponsible for inspecting and keeping common areas (breakrooms/locker rooms/rest rooms) clean and tidy throughout the shiftPerform tasks that are dependent on weather, such as removing snow from emergency exit walkwaysPerform inventory counts on chemicals, cleaning supplies, and PPEIdentify areas that need attention and either address or report as necessaryPerform, assist, oversee, and inspect the cleaning of production equipmentIdentify and accurately report defective materials, food safety hazards, and potential product contaminantsAble to locate and apply SSOP'sFollow proper handling procedures for cleaning and other chemicals required for the position.Follow proper procedures for cleaning of biohazard spills/accidentsOperate fork-lift equipment and scissor liftsOperate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, steamers, industrial vacuums, and floor vacuumsUnderstand and reference Safety Data sheets as required for chemical handling and education processesPerform other duties as directed by supervisorAble to read, interpret, and follow instructions for detailed, controlled processes including but not limited to chemical use, cleaning processes and systems, and safety proceduresMust be able to read and interpret safety data sheetsUnderstand, follow, and promote safe working practicesMust be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision while being able to properly prioritize work responsibilities within assigned work areaMust be detail oriented and able to perform tasks per procedures without variationMust be able to speak, listen, and effectively communicate with team members and various plant personnel/departments including but not limited to Team Leaders, Quality Department, Production Specialist, and Plant ManagerMust adhere to proper practices to prevent product or food contact surface contaminationRequired to understand and abide by all procedures pertaining to allergen controlRequired to adhere to all Good Manufacturing Policies (GMPs) and Safety StandardsLift up, push, or pull to 50 lbs on an occasional basisMust be able to work in a scissor lift at elevated heights occasionallyStoop, kneel, climb or squat on an occasional basisAble to work a flexible schedule to satisfy time-sensitive Sanitation requirements based on the production scheduleHigh school diploma or equivalent.Valid Driver's LicenseGood attendance (as defined by attendance policy)Starting from USD $21.22/Hr.
