The Building Engineer will perform preventive and general maintenance and troubleshooting at an INOVA facility in Ashburn, VA. Hours for this position are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday. This is a 24x7 facility, must be flexible with hours. Must be able to return to the building for emergencies. Oversees landscapers, snow removal by landscapers. Salary $32-$34 per hour.Major Duties:Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipmentPerform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basisMaintain equipment to industry standardsInterface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfactionComplete daily, weekly and/or monthly reports of system status as directed by supervisorPurchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completionPrepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports of system status and work completedOperate and maintain HVAC, electrical and security systems and associated hardware and equipment as directedPrepare predictive maintenance on assigned equipment in order to prevent breakdowns and/or outagesAccurately document work performed on tickets and/or work ordersMust have a minimum of 5+ years of experience operating, and maintaining commercial buildings in the last 5 yearsExperienced in building operations, troubleshooting is essential Equipment - hot water boilers for heating, VAV boxes, 2 large RTU units, split systems.Must have strong computer skillsAble to perform PM maintenance on all mechanical equipmentRequires reliable transportationHigh school diploma or GED preferredHands on equipment experience including, but not limited to: changingfilters, grease bearings, repairing flush valves, stop valves, change ballast/light bulbsExcellent customer service skillsNAPE classes or equivalent
