Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our Quality team in delivering high standards of product reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role that offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Customer Service.You’ll assist with quality systems, document control, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives, especially related to our IATF 16949-certified environment. This is an excellent role for someone with foundational experience in quality engineering, ideally within the automotive sector.Support the maintenance and compliance of the IATF 16949 Quality Management SystemAssist in preparation and submission of PPAPs, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Work InstructionsParticipate in internal audits and support customer and third-party auditsAnalyze quality data and assist in root cause analysis using tools like 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8DCollaborate with Production to monitor and improve scrap, rework, and defect ratesRespond to customer complaints and assist with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Support new product launches by contributing to quality planning and validationQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field - or equivalent work experience2+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)Familiarity with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSAComfortable reading technical drawings and interpreting specificationsStrong organizational and documentation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with quality software is a plusWhat Makes You a Great Fit:Problem Solver: You enjoy digging into the details to find root causesOrganized: You can juggle multiple projects and stay on top of documentationCollaborative: You communicate well with teams across departmentsProactive: You take initiative and don’t wait to be told what to doAdaptable: You stay calm and resourceful in a fast-paced production environmentMore About Filtration GroupFiltration Group is on a mission to make the world safer, healthier and more productive.
