An Optometric Technician is responsible for assisting the Optometrist by documenting patient information into the Electronic Health Record as well as taking ocular measurements and administering treatment as allowed and ordered by the physician.Our Top Candidate will bring at least one year of previous, verifiable experience as an optometric technician or medical assistance with a focus on direct patient care.Initial work up of patients such as gathering chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, past family and social history and complete review of systemsMeasuring visual acuities, intraocular pressures, confrontational fields, EOMS, and morePerforming external slit lamp examination and administering eye drops Scribe in electronic medical records format to document the patient visit and examinationAssist with stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness of patient exams room and other administrative or clinical duties as assignedAt least one year of experience in a work up position within an optometric practice is preferredMust be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of businessPossess strong communication and interpersonal skillsBe a well-organized, team-player with great attention to detailDemonstrate superior computer skillsHighly energetic with positive attitudeMust be able to walk and stand for eight hoursMust be able to type or write legibly in a dimly-lit settingIn Turn We Will Provide:Benefits to full time team members that include comprehensive medical, dental and optical coverage, 401K and short and long term disabilityCompany paid life insurancePaid holidays and generous paid time offPaid parking where applicableTeam oriented working environment where you are heard and respectedClear career ladder opportunities#ESP2
