We focus on In-House developed solutions, vended solutions and the SharePoint Online platform to support that.The SharePoint & .Net Solution Architect is responsible for architecting and delivering technology via SharePoint Online within the Microsoft Stack. This includes the Architecture, Framework and Delivery of our Intranet and other browser based solutions that deliver value to our business partners. Additionally this role will oversee general usability, integrations and adherence to all Mayer Brown technology guidelines. This role provides leadership to our application platform consisting of solutions delivered via the SharePoint platform as well as custom native browser applications. It works closely with IT Architects and Engineers from all other technology teams.Essential Functions:Is a subject matter expert for all SharePoint & .Net Framework solutions while providing support to the Risk, Marketing & Admin Systems portfolio of solutionsWorks cross-functionally with internal/external IT partners to implement and manage collaboration systems to meet the objectives of our Business Services partnersWorks closely with IT engineers and architects throughout the global technology environmentLeads the development of long-term strategic goals for collaboration solutions, software, and data integrationsFunctions as a Technical Lead on projects by developing an understanding of existing systems and processes as well as identifying/determining future needsArchitects and implements collaboration technologies and advanced functions in technologyDevelops and documents SharePoint & .Net Framework best practices, guidelines, security, and governance for the our Applications portfolioWorks with IT and business leaders to manage delivery and operationalize updates to our productsWorks closely with the IT Information Security team, prioritizing safety of the firm’s people, systems and contentInterprets complex technical documentation and effectively communicates information to individuals at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writingResponds to support escalations and investigate, analyze, document, and provide root cause resolution to reported incidentsA mentor to other team members and provide training if requiredFosters trust and builds relationships with the other Information Technology teams both globally and within the region, especially with co-owners of other M365 productsAttends regular vendor meetings for areas of expertise, stays informed of latest technology roadmaps, security notifications, and bug/hot fixesEnsures vendors provide proper levels of support, maintains SLA’s, and provide root cause analysis for escalated issuesEnsures all team, departmental and firm policies and procedures are adhered to, including technical change management and service continuityWhere appropriate, attends user groups independently or with senior managers and makes recommendations on improvementsAttends and contributes to team meetingsCompletes all administrative tasks, i.e., (time tracking, project and task updates, trouble ticket notes, status reports, responding to email, etc.) accurately and on timeAdheres to the Firm’s IT Service Delivery standards and Change Control processesPerforms other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectivesEducation/Training/Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is related to the functions of the roleMicrosoft 365 certified - Azure Solutions Architect Expert, is preferredProfessional Experience:Minimum of 5 years’ experience of enterprise level SharePoint Online & .Net Solution ArchitecturePrior experience architecting SharePoint Online solutions, is requiredPrior end user facing experience, is requiredPrior Experience working in a global organization, preferredPrior Experience deploying and managing SharePoint Online solutions in Azure DevOpsTechnical Skills:Proven experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint Development Framework (SPFx)Proven experience with .Net development (C#, ASP.Net, MVC, MVVM)Holistic knowledge of the M365 Suite is requiredIn-depth knowledge working with Microsoft OneDrive, requiredIn-depth knowledge of M365 security and compliance including MS Purview, is requiredIn-depth knowledge of Azure AD is requiredIn-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologiesIn-depth knowledge of RESTful services and APIsKnowledge of PowerShell including scripting, is requiredKnowledge of MS Power Platform is preferredKnowledge of Intapp Workspaces is helpfulPerformance Traits:Demonstrates leadership initiative and a desire to lead, even without formal reporting linesEffectively communicates and influence others outside the direct chain of reportingStrong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendorsAbility to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the FirmA solid understanding of delivery frameworks such as Agile and DevOpsAbility to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting prioritiesCommitted to continued advancement with strong change management skillsCommitment to process improvementMust be a self-starter with a high level of initiativeStrong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgmentStrong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projectsMaintains confidentiality and exercises discretionExercises solid strategic thinking and critical thinking skillsComfort with ambiguityAbility to ‘challenge the status quo’The typical pay scale for this position is between $150,000 and $198,000, although the actual wage or salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s education, experience, skills and internal pay alignment are different from those specified.The above is a general description of the essential duties associated with this position and does not represent an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all duties.The Firm may modify and amend this job description at any time at its sole discretion.
