Our Facilities Team plays a key role in ensuring that complex building systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably in support of vital defense technologies. Every system we maintain supports a higher missionâ”delivering innovation and security to the nation.The WorkAs a Facilities HVAC Technician, you will perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of a wide range of facility systems.Youâll be responsible for installing, servicing, modifying, rebuilding, and repairing HVAC and related mechanical systems within a commercial or industrial environment.All work must comply with building codes, safety regulations, and EPA 608 standards.Key Responsibilities Include:Cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting large-capacity HVAC systemsMaintaining and servicing site utilities, air handlers, exhaust fans, cafeteria equipment, split-case pumps, hot water systems, and plumbing fixturesOperating and maintaining steam generators and piping systemsPerforming preventive and predictive maintenance usingtechniques such as:Pump alignmentInfrared thermographyVibration analysisUltrasound detectionTroubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control system issuesReading and interpreting blueprints and schematicsOperating the computerized Building Management System (BMS) and responding to system alarmsRecording, reviewing, and interpreting equipment/system dataWorking safely at heights using aerial lift platforms and laddersUsing hand and power tools, torches, refrigeration gauges, and multimetersUtilizing proper PPE at all times in accordance with safety proceduresLifting up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation,
