Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will handle essential accounting functions and contribute to the financial operations of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to work in the dynamic oil and gas field services industry. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage daily bank transactions and monitor cash balances to ensure accurate reporting. u2022 Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger. u2022 Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with precision and efficiency. u2022 Conduct daily financial reconciliations to maintain accurate records. u2022 Assist with corporate tax return preparation and sales tax filings. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and operations. u2022 Collaborate with team members to support general accounting tasks. u2022 Utilize NetSuite software for accounting functions, with training provided if needed. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or a related field. u2022 Proven experience in general accounting functions, including reconciliations and journal entries. u2022 Familiarity with corporate tax returns and sales tax processes. u2022 Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger and financial reconciliation. u2022 Experience with accounting software; NetSuite experience is preferred but not required. u2022 Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
