Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Brea, California. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing key financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and providing proactive support to the accounting department. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong technical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities: u2022 Handle month-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines. u2022 Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including preparing journal entries and reviewing account balances. u2022 Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Support audits by consolidating reports, preparing required documentation, and addressing inquiries. u2022 Assist in the review of tax returns and ensure timely submission of necessary documents. u2022 Utilize advanced Excel skills, including macros, to streamline reporting and analysis tasks. u2022 Respond promptly to requests from accounts payable and other departments to support operational needs. u2022 Collaborate closely with financial leaders to provide insights and assist with decision-making processes. u2022 Work with Sage Intacct software to manage financial data and reporting effectively. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and reliability, preferably in a senior role. u2022 Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as macros, pivot tables, and complex formulas. u2022 Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes. u2022 Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is highly desirable. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. u2022 A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a willingness to work extended hours when needed. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
