Assistant Controller

Description We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Anaheim, California. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments, improve processes, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Review expense reports to ensure proper authorization and accuracy. u2022 Develop and implement operational improvements and streamlined processes. u2022 Verify the accuracy of daily invoices while adhering to strict deadlines. u2022 Foster strong relationships across departments and accounting teams. u2022 Ensure the accuracy of accounts payable files and their integration with the general ledger. u2022 Contribute to the development and refinement of finance-related procedures to align with accounts payable requirements. u2022 Coordinate month-end close activities and perform specialized financial analyses. u2022 Prepare and manage operational budgets across multiple locations within the procurement system. u2022 Generate accounts payable accruals during month-end close. u2022 Monitor vendor statements for compliance and address discrepancies with actionable recommendations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Familiarity with financial statement audits and related compliance standards. u2022 Knowledge of DCAA regulations and practices. u2022 Strong background in financial reporting and analysis. u2022 Experience with AIA billing processes. u2022 Skilled in preparing and posting journal entries accurately.
