Description We're a dynamic and growing litigation firm seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. We're looking for an attorney with 2-8 years of experience in California civil litigation. We focus on business, commercial, construction, and employment law. You'll work directly with partners, gain hands-on experience, and receive one-on-one mentorship to advance your legal career. Responsibilities: + Manage all phases of litigation, from inception through trial. + Draft and respond to substantive motions, including motions for summary judgment and demurrers. + Conduct and defend depositions. + Engage in discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests. + Participate in all aspects of trial preparation. + Perform legal research and analysis. + Draft pleadings, briefs, and other court filings. + Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel. Pay is entirely contingent upon experience with the duties above. Though this position is primarily on-site, 1-2 days per week may be allowed to work from home after onboarding. Requirements + Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. + Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California. + 2-8 years of experience in civil litigation, with a exposure to one or more of the following: business, commercial, construction, or employment litigation. + Proven experience drafting substantive motions and preparing for trial. + Experience with depositions is required. + Desire to work in a small law firm (you would be the fourth attorney on staff).
