Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7 Assist with homework completion u00b7 Encourage students to develop independent problem-solving and editing skills u00b7 Lead a specific component of daily and monthly operations and programming for the Education Department u00b7 Provide opportunities for children to succeed, develop, and strengthen academic, physical, and social skills u00b7 Actively seek professional development and resources to further support youth and families u00b7 Report possible cases of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment to the proper authorities u00b7 Escort children from the pick-up locations to the Kroc Center u00b7 Ensure Child Safety Policies are practiced constantly u00b7 Design, plan, and implement weekly lessons and activities u00b7 Research resources and tools for students and families u00b7 Build a positive rapport with all children and their families u00b7 Assist with the transportation of program participants u00b7 Other related duties as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: u00b7 High school diploma or equivalent (required) u00b7 CA driver's license (preferred) u00b7 Experience working with youth (TK u2013 5th grade) SKILLS AND ABILITIES: u00b7 Great communication skills u00b7 Comfortable with enforcing program rules and policies u00b7 Ability to lead u00b7 Team player EQUIPMENT USED: u00b7 Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: u00b7 Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
