About the role As a Lead Quality Engineer u2013 Cypress Automation , you will make an impact by driving high-quality software delivery through robust testing strategies, automation frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including developers, DevOps engineers, and product owners. In this role, you will: u00b7 Lead and execute both manual and automated testing efforts to ensure software meets the highest quality standards. u00b7 Design and maintain UI automation frameworks using Cypress and Selenium WebDriver with Java. u00b7 Develop and execute API automation using Rest Assured and integrate with cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services. u00b7 Collaborate with development teams to review requirements, create effective test cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage. u00b7 Explore and apply Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance automation and testing strategies. u00b7 Apply Prompt Engineering techniques to optimize AI model outputs for real-world applications. u00b7 Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues and support DevOps practices across environments. u00b7 Contribute to Agile Scrum ceremonies and support geographically distributed teams. What you need to have to be considered: u00b7 9 + years of experience in software QA, including both automation and functional testing. u00b7 Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver. u00b7 Expertise in UI automation using Cypress and API automation using Rest Assured. u00b7 Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Lambda, Parameter Store). u00b7 Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake. u00b7 Experience enabling DevOps practices and managing CI/CD pipelines. u00b7 Solid understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and testing tools. u00b7 Excellent communication and organizational skills. These will help you stand out: u00b7 Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering. u00b7 Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and working with distributed teams. u00b7 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. u00b7 Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects with minimal supervision. u00b7 Client-facing experience and coordination skills. u00b7 Youu2019ll also have an edge if you: u00b7 Are familiar with Agentic AI validation techniques. u00b7 Have experience with MCP (Model-Centric Programming) approaches. u00b7 Can apply AI-driven testing strategies to improve coverage and efficiency. u00b7 Are passionate about exploring emerging technologies and integrating them into QA practices. Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until October 6th, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
