Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. u2022 Sets tables and clears them after meals.u2022 Fills sugar bowls and salt and pepper shakers.u2022 Polishes silverware, tables and chairs.u2022 Prepares trays for and serves recipients.u2022 Cleans dining rooms and dish and linen closets.u2022 Cleans, washes and otherwise prepares vegetables and fruit for cooking.u2022 Assists in the preparation of salads and desserts.u2022 Helps cooks in any phase of their duties.u2022 Washes dishes, pots and pans by hand or machine.u2022 Sweeps, mops and cleans kitchen.u2022 May act as cashier.u2022 Other duties as assigned Qualifications SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: u2022 Prior experience is not required but some experience as a helper in a restaurant or hotel dining room or in general domestic work is desirable.u2022 Working knowledge of the proper methods of serving food.u2022 Working knowledge of the care of tableware, glassware, silver, and kitchen appliancesu2022 Ability to follow oral and written directions.u2022 Physically able to meet the physical requirements of the position.u2022 If driving is required, must have a valid license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
