Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. u2022 Conduct client needs assessment for each individual/family seeking assistance; determine type and level of emergency service needed; provide emergency basic needs support;, working collaboratively with corps officers and other local service providers; refer clients to other services available in our service area as appropriate.u2022 Oversee pantry operations including managing volunteer hours and involvement, conduct routine inventory of food pantry stock and place orders as necessary; provide copies of all invoices to corps officer for transfer to DHQ.u2022 Provide crisis intervention supportive counsel to clients and refer for professional and/or spiritual counseling services as needed or requested.u2022 Provide POH case management services to 3-5 families at a time with long term support; meet with clients a minimum of once a month; following POH program model and requirements, develop individualized service plans, goals, make needed referrals to community resources; represent the POH program in the community.u2022 Maintain client files, client databases (EFA and POH) and timely and accurate record keeping according to Salvation Army policy and practices, including case activity (food pantry, assessment, consent, plan development, client progress, outreach, referrals) in respective databases. Hard copies to be promptly filed in client files.u2022 Maintain client confidentiality, ensure the Release of Information Form is signed by the client before contacting other agencies concerning the client situation and need.u2022 Communicate programmatic concerns and successes to corps officers.u2022 Exhibit fiscal responsibility by maintaining client and program spending budgets in consultation with corps officer.u2022 Provide monthly statistical reports and program budget sheets to corps officer no later than 1st Wednesday of each month.u2022 Assist with coordination of holiday assistance to the community including Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions.u2022 Participate in local service provider meetings or other collaborations in social services arena as requested by corps officers; share trends or community plans with corps officers.u2022 Attend training sessions as provided and/or required.u2022 Attend and participate in agency staff meetings.u2022 Maintain an inventory of existing services in the service area that are relevant to the needs of clients and make referrals as appropriate.u2022 Fulfill role as Mandated Reporter in incidents of child abuse and neglect.u2022 Inform and provide written information to clients about all that The Salvation Army Church and Corps Community Center offers to each client and their family members: Sunday School, Church services, Bible Study, Womenu2019s Programs, Menu2019s Programs, Childrenu2019s Programs, music programs, etc.u2022 Other duties as assigned.
