We foster an open, communicative culture that empowers our teams to share knowledge and ideas across all levels and disciplines.The RoleThe Laptop Refresh Technician will need excellent organizational skills, excellent communication skills and ability to work and collaborate with the wider IT Team, who are based in the US, Canada, UK and India. As this role requires hands-on service, the position is on-site in our Manhattan, NY (Financial District) office. This role offers an excellent entry point into IT support, providing valuable hands-on experience and exposure to a broad range of IT disciplines. This position is Monday through Friday shift, 8am - 5pm in our New York City office.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, image, and configure new laptops according to company standards.Migrate user data and settings from old devices to new laptops.Schedule and coordinate laptop deployments with employees and departments.Collect, inventory, and decommission old laptops following security protocols.Provide first-level support during and after deployment to ensure user satisfaction.Document asset transfers and update the inventory management system.Work closely with the IT team to troubleshoot deployment issues.Ensure compliance with company IT security policies throughout the refresh process.Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with management to implement them.Have excellent customer service skills, be willing to take ownership of a ticket, and engage other departments if necessary to resolve.Depending on workload, participate with the broader IT support team in resolving end-user issues and developing a working knowledge of our software, infrastructure, and protocolsResponsibilitiesCollege degree in any IT Discipline, or 2+ years work experience.Must be able to work independently at times with limited supervision.Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and imaging toolsBasic knowledge of hardware setup, software installation, and basic troubleshooting.Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.Ability to lift and move equipment as required (up to 25 lbs)Ability to work independently and in a team environmentCompensationThe rate for this position generally is $55,000 - $65,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law.
