Our Data, Analytics & AI team supports and enables the business with AI platforms, expertise and solutions. To help further advance our AI journey and facilitate the implementation of AI projects across the organization, we are looking for aData Scientist.You will be responsible to assess, design, build and deploy new AI solutions incorporating analytics, ML, DL, NLP, agentic AI, etc. for beneficial global usage in our diverse business. Understanding the technical aspects, you will also enable and guide business partners in implementing their solutions. You will take an active part in our cross-departmental AI Competence Center, having expertise in data science, programming and software development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about artificial intelligence and motivated to support our community throughout this transformative this role, your responsibilities would include:Develop and maintain AI-based solutions based on business requirements, especially focused on NLP and LLMsDevelopment of agentic solutions, especially around knowledge management, and data processingOnboard new teams, users and content onto the AI solutionsUser training about AI in general and the MT internal AI solution specificallyYour focus will be on company internal AI solutions, with occasional support or development of product related AI models or data analyticsDesign, build, and test AI solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders and usersAssist in delivering and preparing datasets for analysis, ensuring adherence to quality standards and improving data cleaning processesUnderstand business objectives and requirements to coach stakeholders in developing models and to prepare the dataComply with strict data, intellectual property and security guidelinesManage stakeholders, provide transparency on progress, business case and risksWhat You Need to SucceedFollowing requirements are necessary for this role:Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceProficiency in Python. Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases including data modeling and warehousingExperience with data integration, cloud platforms, MS-SQLExperience working with APIs developing distributed solutions, along with a solid understanding of algorithms and data structuresExperience with additional programming languages or software development aspects (e.g. frontend development with Javascript, cloud deployments with Terraform) is a plusAbility to assess technical projects, including infrastructure design, and to work independently while approaching problems methodically and pragmaticallyStrong analytical skills, particularly with unstructured datasets, coupled with excellent organizational skills for coordinating work across multidisciplinary teamsFluent communication skills in English.
