Job DescriptionDESCRIPTIONThe Core Application Senior Developer is an application developer role that will be responsible for writing code mainly in RPGLE, SQL RPG and CLLE. This position is responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, and creating, maintaining support documentation, assisting and mentoring other Developers as well as co-lead projects. The candidate will also provide tier 1 and 2 technical support for business applicationsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDevelop applications and solutions using RPG, SQL RPG, CL or other equivalent programming languagesDevelop and maintain solutions utilizing Fiserv SignatureDevelope and integrate applications to Fiserv Signature using Fiserv CommunicatorCreate and maintain architecture diagrams, design diagrams and data flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio or other equivalent toolsFollow PMO governance processes to execute a project on behalf of a customer/sponsorWork with internal customers to assess business needs and work with a team to design solutionsParticipate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)Participate in developing user and technical documentationLead requirements analysis and application design for medium to large projectsEstablish best practices for engineering information security and regulatory requirements into our SDLCTroubleshoot and resolve daily issues with the perspective of minimizing incidents and developing supporting documentation that may be used by Tier 1 support teamsDevelop and execute plans to install new software and custom changes following Change Management disciplinesMaintain expertise in current technology stacks and best practices to recommend changes that can have positive impact on the enterpriseAccept mentorship from lead developers and may mentor Application Developer I and IIPerform analysis and development for support data extracts and integration with other applicationsBuild, lead and teach automation with end of day processesServe as a senior technical resource supporting and integrating vendor provided financial and data warehouse applications for Northwest's business units: Deposit & Cash Management, Investment Management, Commercial Lending and Residential MortgageLead various software upgrade products supported by the Application Engineering teamWork with project managers and team members to enhance and support Northwest's application portfolio including the CRM, core banking, finance, operations, compliance, business intelligence and image processing systemsEnsure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulationsNavigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiencyWork as part of a teamWork with on-site equipmentParticipates in other special projectsAbide by the rules of the safety and loss prevention programPerform work tasks in a safe mannerReport any and all injuries to supervisorKnow what to do in case of an emergencyEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (Software development track) or Engineering with a programming concentration AND at least 5 years' experience preferredMaster's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (Software development track) or Engineering with a programming concentration AND at least 3 years' experience preferredWork History:3 - 5 years Banking experience preferredNorthwest is an equal opportunity employer.
