As we experience an aging leadership team, we are seeking to cultivate a knowledge transfer. The Business Operations Associate will be exposed to multiple departments due to the size of a small working environment, therefore experiencing the full breath of a business operating Social Enterprise non-profit. Unlike traditional nonprofits we sustain our mission through revenue generating contract services. You will be involved in solicitation proposal development, staffing and Recruitment, business development, contract project management, customer relationship management etc. This is a multifaceted position for an individual with internal drive, vision and adoptable skills to enhance and grow the business. As a 501 (c)(3), Rising Star offers qualified employment for the Public Service Student Loan Debt Forgiveness program.Essential Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe qualified candidate shall possess general business acumen, results oriented and customer focused. The ideal candidate will be able to fulfill the organizations recruiting/staffing department needs as follows:Cleanup the online Staffing Applicant system, remove and update organization names, autoreply to messages, applicant postings, identify and share candidates, job fairs, programs and organizations working with people with disabilities, for multiple states.Screen, interview and recommend candidates for employment internally and through a VMS systemCoordinates interviews between candidates and organizations field management. Monitors placement to assure satisfaction for both the employee and clientSubmits productivity reports, on-boarding, new hire reporting weekly, monthly and quarterlyPerforms other team growth initiatives as assigned working closely with key organization leadershipWhile operating in the staffing role, The Recruiter must have proficient staffing, operational and marketing experience and knowledge to develop the processes and procedures for an effective growth path. Strong working knowledge of MS Suite of Products (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams etc.), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Vendor Management System (VMS) and working of a Managed Services Provider (MSP) relationship. Appreciation and understanding of social media, job board posting, and community job fair recruitment.Preferred Requirements:Beyond the staffing requirements, candidates should possess skills or desire to learn the intricacies of Contract and Operational management, including but not limited to:Provide administrative support to Senior Leadership on awarded contracts, prepare contract deliverables, operating performance reports, payroll hours, building inspection reports, quality and safety monitoring and reporting, compliance with contract terms, collection of disability documentation, preparing annual reports, payroll processing etc., business development pursuits, applying to vendor sites, attending luncheons and p ofessional networking eventsAdditional knowledge, skills, and abilities:Once acclimated to our company's core values and mission, additional operations and technical support growth would be essential to continued success and growth in this role. We hope to develop a mentor-mentee type environment, where the candidate can bridge the gap between the current way of doing things and new, innovative applications to achieve organizational goals and deliverables.
