JOB REQUIREMENTS: For 130 years, The Salvation Army of Dane County hasoffered spiritual ministry, social services, and youth programs tothousands of Dane County residents, without discrimination. If you want to help make a difference by serving yourcommunity and helping those in need, apply now The Intake Worker forDane County will provide support to the Social Services Director byproviding supervision and intake of clients, maintaining security, andproviding supportive services in a Christian atmosphere. About the role:Conducts intake interviews of incoming residents into shelter Assigns aproper room and distributes needed bedding and personal items Providesnecessary supervision of shelter and residents, assuring that rules andpolicies are being followed Maintains an awareness of client needsAnswers telephone calls, taking messages when appropriate Cleans shelterareas as necessary Prepares snacks for shelter residents Oversees lunchand dinner preparations in dining room Reviews log book and updatesentries as needed Performs room inspections Distributes medications asneeded Supervises volunteers and community service workers, whenassigned.
