Job Description

Carnegie Mellon University seeks a Senior Project Analyst in Pittsburgh, PA to support the Campus Design and Facility Development Department and assist the Senior Director of Planning and Construction to design, construct, and acquire teaching/learning/research spaces for CMUu2019s students, faculty, and staff. Specific duties include: (i) leading assigned projects through conceptual design, construction, bid, and closeout phases as well as analyzing and reporting of the overall project portfolio; (ii) collecting, managing, and analyzing data for implementation, improving processes, and reporting to senior management; (iii) planning the workflow for a project, including estimating time, budgeting, and gathering supplies and personnel; and (iv) ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and with applicable national and local codes/standards. Must have a masteru2019s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or Construction Management plus two (2) years of experience in a directly related position in higher education construction project management. Must have two (2) years of experience with each of the following: (i) building reports from datasets and identifying relevant specifications; (ii) Tableau, Excel, and Project Management Information Systems; and (iii) data-driven benchmarking reporting. Must have one (1) year of experience with at least five (5) of the following types of projects: classroom renovations; utility infrastructure upgrades and installation; dorm renovations and new construction; laboratory renovations and builds; state or federally funded capital projects; or academic space planning related studies and projects. Experience can be concurrent. Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Must be able to complete a successful background check.
