JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary Assemble custom and/or standardproduct from blueprints by assembling mechanical parts, componentsand/or products under minimal supervision. Responsibilities Fits andassembles components according to assembly blueprints, manuals,engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction toconstruct and rebuild equipment using hand tools and power tools.Verifies conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints usingmeasuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Laysout hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly. Setup, fit, bolt and dowel in place large parts such as frames, brackets,etc. Positions parts and components such as motors, gear boxes, drivetrains in and on frame of machine. Manage assembly time to ensurecompletion of assigned projects within specified time frame. Assembleand inspect machine after testing to prepare for shipment to municate internally with contacts outside the work group to exchangework related information. Perform activities planned by others. Maintaina clean and safe workplace in accordance with Regal Rexnord policies, 6Sprocedures, and in line with Regal Rexnord core values. Self-starter Theability to move from one project to another with little input. 2+ yearsof assembly experience in a high mix low volume environment PreferredQualifications Some gear box assembly experience preferred. A basicunderstanding of the types of bearings used in industrial applicationsand how they are setup is preferred. Experience with shaft alignment onrotating elements is preferred.
