Our Transportation Planner plays a key role in ensuring ourproducts move efficiently and reliably across the supply chain. How youwill make contributions that matter... Plan transportationaccordingly for all truckload and LTL orders for assigned shippinglocations, routing shipments to accommodate delivery requirements ofeach individual customer load. Identify opportunities to consolidateorders into multi-stop truckloads. Provide first class qualitytransportation services for both internal and external customers. Arrange carriers for pickup of purchased and interplant movements toSaputo Distribution Centers. Work closely with customer servicerepresentatives, plant, and DC personnel & carriers to resolve serviceissues. Proactively find ways to prevent and/or continuously improvecarrier performance. Resolve any carrier issues i.e. rerouting loads,in transit related issues, support overage, shortage, damage (OS&D),etc. Develop strong Customer Service and carrier relationships tosupport business process improvements and issue resolution. Assist ininvestigation of overage, shortage, and damaged (OS&D) occurrences. Workclosely with transportation providers to determine disposition ofproduct. You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have The FollowingExperience, Skills, and Qualifications.. Bachelor's Degree in SupplyChain, Business or equivalent experience. Experience intransportation operations; CPG industry experience is a plus. Familiarity with Transportation Mangement System (TMS) and SAP;experience with either is preferred. Strong communication,analytical, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to workeffectively across cross-functional teams. A collaborative mindsetand ability to build relationships across all levels.
