Community Outreach Manager

Administrative and FiscalFunctions: Manages the office of the Distribution Center, includinggeneral oversight of facility upkeep and supervision of staff(Facilities Manager, Seasonal Programs Assistant, Receptionist,Drivers/Maintenance). Supervision includes assigning and evaluatingemployee work performance. Maintains current knowledge of all programexpectations listed in each contractual agreement. Participates in thebudget planning and development process for each program supervised.Manages the budgets for the Seasonal Programs. Adheres to Salvation Armypolicy for managing petty cash funds. Recommends preliminary approvalfor all expenditures of the Seasonal programs and submits requests forpayment through the Finance Department. Maintains appropriate fiscal andstatistical records as required. Make presentations to donors, providetours of programs. Seasonal Program Management: Feed the Kids, Coats forKids, Back to School & Toy Shop Plans and schedules program dates,menus, service routes, in partnership with Community Agencies (SummerMeals/Hunger Task Force, Marines, Fox 6, MPS, etc.) Works with CommunityRelations Department regarding media partnerships and events. Works withMajor Gifts Director to secure monetary and in-kind donation supportResearches, identifies, and establishes relationships with vendors tomeet program supply needs. Chairs internal program meetings and attendscommunity meetings regarding Seasonal Programs. Interviews, hires andsupervises seasonal program staff. Coordinates volunteer needs of theprogram with the Volunteer Coordinator. Establishes volunteerguidelines, job descriptions and monitors the number of volunteersneeded/signed up for each day. Oversees daily activities of the program.Conducts staff orientation. Ensures the collection of statisticalinformation and provides program service reports.
