Join the Team as a Planer Operator! Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Planer Operator for a reputable local company in the Flathead Valley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, flexibility, and a strong work ethic to work in a fast-paced lumber production environment. Key Responsibilities: Relieve and fill in for Planer Mill employees during breaks, temporary absences, vacations, and sick leave. Perform basic duties across multiple Planer Mill positions, including but not limited to: Labor/Clean-Up Sticker Stacker Trim End Puller Bander Bander Helper Lumber Stacker Pull Chain Operator Forklift Driver (certification preferred or ability to obtain) Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Qualifications: Prior experience in a planer mill, lumber yard, or similar industrial setting preferred. Familiarity with lumber quality and grades is helpful; preference given to candidates with experience operating machinery. Must have good depth perception, eyesight, and coordination to safely and effectively operate machine controls. Forklift experience is a plus (certification or willingness to become certified required). Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods. Must be dependable, adaptable, and able to assist wherever needed in the Planer Mill operations. Must successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and WorkSTEPS physical.
