Below will be the jobs detailsLocation: Columbia, SCEmployment Type: Full-Time / Project-BasedPay: Based on experience (typically $24-$32hr)Description:Republic Contracting Corp is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Crane Operator to support ongoing commercial and civil construction projects in the Columbia area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating various types of cranes in compliance with safety regulations and site requirements.Key Responsibilities:Operate hydraulic, crawler, or rough-terrain cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment.Perform daily pre-operation inspections and basic preventative maintenance.Work closely with rigging crews and signal personnel to ensure proper load terpret load charts, lifting plans, and job site blueprints.Set up and dismantle cranes on-site as required.Ensure all operations meet OSHA and NCCCO standards.Maintain clear communication with the site supervisor and construction team.Qualifications:NCCCO Certification (required)Minimum 23 years of crane operation experience in construction environmentsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and lifting diagramsKnowledge of safety procedures and signaling standardsCDL Class A or B (preferred)Strong attention to detail and teamworkPreferred Experience:Commercial building constructionRoad, bridge, or infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with Zoning, OSHA, and DOT guidelines
