Description Job Title: Recreation TherapistDepartment: Therapies Location: Clifton Springs Nursing Home Hours Per Week: 37.5Schedule: Monday-Friday, either 8-4:30 or 9-5 SUMMARY:As a Recreation Therapist, your compassion and creativity assist in keeping our community physically and mentally healthy.RESPONSIBILITIES:Completes a comprehensive assessment of client's needs, restrictions, limitations, and preferencesDevelops and implements individual treatment programs and group Therapeutic Recreation programsDocuments evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other reports as required by the profession and the departmentREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:NEURO-BEHAVIORAL UNIT ONLY: Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Music or Art Therapy, Human Services, Gerontology or related fields preferred.Experience in specialty area preferred.Previous experience planning, organizing, and implementing a quality activity program in a long term care setting preferred.ElderONE EMPLOYMENT: 1 year experience with frail elderly population preferredEDUCATION: BS (Required)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA)PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $27.00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.
