Description We are looking for a skilled litigation attorney to join a nationally recognized firm in New York, New York. Specializing in high-risk defense cases, the firm handles general liability, product liability, and workplace accident litigation for corporate and individual clients. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to complex legal matters while collaborating with a dynamic and supportive team. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other court documents. u2022 Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests. u2022 Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings. u2022 Collaborate with partners and associates to develop case strategies and defense arguments. u2022 Provide proactive, client-centered legal counsel and maintain strong communication with clients. u2022 Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations relevant to assigned cases. u2022 Work closely with team members, including paralegals and legal assistants, to ensure efficient case management. u2022 Stay updated on legal developments and incorporate them into practice. u2022 Assist in the preparation of trial materials and exhibits. u2022 Contribute to the firm's collaborative culture and initiatives aimed at fostering growth. Requirements u2022 Must have 3+ years of litigation experience, ideally in asbestos and product liability defense. u2022 Admission to the bar in New York and another jurisdiction (or eligibility to waive in). u2022 Demonstrated proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents. u2022 Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills. u2022 Ability to manage discovery processes effectively. u2022 Proven experience in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. u2022 Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills. u2022 Proactive mindset and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
