The company's image capture and analysis platform, which includes fixed and mobile license plate reader cameras driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence, provides vehicle location data to public safety and commercial customers. Acquired by Motorola Solutions in January 2019, this new product offering will expand the Motorola Solutions command center software portfolio with the largest shareable database of vehicle location information that can help shorten response times and improve the speed and accuracy of investigations.Job DescriptionAs a technical writer you will translate complex information into words that a non-technical/non-scientific person can understand and use. This candidate must be able to write in a way that the targeted audience can understand and create the documents that teach the world how to operate systems and understand processes properly.The technical writer is expected to produce the following types of documents:Technical Documentation of System Processes and FlowsUser GuidesReference GuidesQuick Start GuidesService ManualsTroubleshooting Guides and MorePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in English, communications, journalism, technical writing or related field preferredProficient or some knowledge in PHPProficient or some knowledge in .NETMust be the subject matter expert with Enterprise Applications, Technical Architecture, Quality Frameworks for technology deliveryMust have knowledge of best practices for code developmentMust have a firm sense of order and disciplineBring a strong command of the English language (oral and written), and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across numerous functional areasSelf-manage work assignments and meet deadlinesConduct interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentationBe excellent in organizing ideas and concepts to produce concise documentationBalance multiple projects with competing deadlinesConstructively manage changing prioritiesAbility to create workflows using LucidchartMust have a high working-level computer literacy in authoring tools, capability to use information mapping in preparing technical write-ups is an added advantageMust have the ability to write to a highly technical and specialized audience using industry concepts and termsMust have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressureTarget Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 USDConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
