This individual will be responsible for management of consultants and contractors, design oversight, procurement support, construction monitoring and oversight, coordination of tenants, business partners and other RDU departments, as well as a range of other responsibilities needed to ensure the successful outcome of projects. The project manager will evaluate project design drawings for moderate-sized capital and expense projects for conformance to standards and specifications and coordination with other capital projects and expansion of existing infrastructure.Projects may include concessions redevelopment in terminal buildings; oversight (design review and construction) of tenant improvements, upgrades to existing buildingsu2019 infrastructure including building envelope, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, in addition to campus building assessments and improvements to various other support buildings associated with a fast-growing medium-hub commercial airport.Key ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of:Project planning and budgetingProject management best practicesRules, regulations, codes, and guidelines as they relate to building construction and renovations, including fire, electric, energy, utilities, disabilities, egress, elevators, escalators, stairs, and associated permitsAirport projects and the airport environment at a medium-hub commercial service airportPrinciples and practice of public sector management and administration of airport policies and proceduresIndustry standard building specifications and codesDesign, construction, and/or maintenance of basic building components and finishes, electrical and lighting systems, HVAC systems, potable water and sanitary sewage, including gravity and forced main systems, fire alarm and fire protection systems, utilities and communication systemsEnglish grammar, spelling, punctuationPrinciples and practices of basic bookkeepingModern office procedures, methods, and computer equipmentSkill in:Developing or rehabilitating building infrastructures and systemsAirport facility planning, design, and operationOrganization and time managementInterpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationshipsPerforming a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different naturePerforming basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratiosAssigning, prioritizing, monitoring, and reviewing work assignmentAbility to:Work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups and individuals internally and externally.
